Where’s the MEEF?
Start one in your area…
MEEFs provide a unique opportunity to first identify why the Middle East is important, and if so–to learn more; decide how we think about things, how we would do it differently, better, and how to pursue the right courses of action if this is indeed so important to our nation and to the world. This is the first grassroots’ effort of its kind to pursue change in our policies by starting with the people that are most important and affected—YOU.

Ideas to start with:
Islam: A frank discussion
Why is the Middle East important?
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict
The Iraq war
Terrorism
The problem of oil
Activities:
Visit a mosque or synagogue
Make Arabic food
Discuss books
Learn Arabic dancing
Why start a MEEF?
MEEF Vision: Creating a world-wide network of informed citizens’ groups who are bettering the relationship/policies between the Middle East and West.
The conversations that are NOT happening in government circles are astounding. Whether it’s lack of creative thinking, in-the-weeds busyness, arrogance, or ignorance, MEEFs ensure that there are individuals discussing the relationship between Middle East and West in a proactive, open, informative way.
